Solving issues with Custom Printer
- Device is connected to iOS, but i cannot print anything and cannot get firmwareVersion neither
Custom Printer uses special protocol for communication, which has to be specified in your app. Into the .plist file of the project in Xcode, add new Row with the value "Supported external accessory protocol" and add the Strings:
- "com.custom.dongle" and "com.custom.donglealt" for CUSTOM BT1 device
- "com.custom.my3" and "com.custom.my3alt" for MY3A device
- "com.custom.printer" and "com.custom.printeralt" for all the other CUSTOM Apple
Compatible devices
- I am trying to connect My Printer A to the iOS device but the pin code is invalid
In our case the printer My Printer A did not use a pin code 0000 as stated in the user's manual. We were able to connect the printer My Printer A with a pin code 1234.
