This example demonstrates how to implement simple event calendar using FileMaker Pro 8.5 feature. 24U Flash Calendar Example is a flash based interactive calendar similar to iCal, designed to be used within the FileMaker Pro layout's web viewer object. It requires a plug-in to talk back to FileMaker Pro, but it does not require Web Publishing and works even with FileMaker Pro Runtime.
Using Flash Calendar, you can create new event records by clicking and dragging in the calendar space. After that you can move existing events, rename them, delete them and change event duration. All that within a Web Viewer, with an immediate effect on your database data, thanks to Adobe Flash and 24U SimpleTalk Plug-In.
24U Flash Calendar interface is available free of charge, 24U SimpleTalk Plug-In can be downloaded for free 14-day evaluation. If you already have an expired copy of 24U SimpleTalk Plug-In installed, please contact our sales for an extended evaluation code.
Important: If you are getting security errors from Adobe Flash after opening this example, please visit the Adobe Flash on-line settings manager by clicking here and adjust your security settings to let the Flash Calendar work. Unfortunately, the settings manager built into Adobe Flash does not work properly.
Flash Compatibility Update: This example seems to only work with Flash version 9.0.48 or older. Version 9.0.115 introduced a new security measure which prevents our Flash Calendar to work. Unfortunately, we have not found a way how to work around the new security measure or how to disable it.
